Order and Document the Details of Depo-Provera Administration

You can enter a Depo-Provera (Medroxyprogesterone) order and injection details on the Office Procedures template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Assessment/Plan panel, select Office Procedures from the left pane. The Office Procedures template opens. To add an assessment, select Add. Today's Assessment The Add or Update Assessment template opens. To add an assessment, do one of the following: To add any common assessment, select the Add Common Assessment link, and then select any assessment. To search for and add an assessment, select the Diagnosis Code Lookup link, and search for and add an assessment from the Diagnosis Search template. You can search for chronic conditions, patient’s diagnosis, favorites, category, and ICD legacy mapping. Select Save and Close to return to the Office Procedure template. Document Medications

You can document the medications to prescribe to a patient using the Medications module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. In the Medications panel, select Add/Update. The Medications module opens. Select Prescribe New. The Medication Search template opens. Search for and select a medicine from the list. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date details. Select the Prescribed elsewhere check box, if applicable. Select Accept. Close the Medications module. Note: If applicable, you can select the Comment link to open the Medication Comment template. You must not use the Medication Comment template to list medications the patient is consuming. You can use the Medication Comment template as a temporary location to list all the unknown medications the patient is consuming along with the dosage and sig details. Electronically Submit a Prescription

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open the Medications module. Select a medication. On the medication details toolbar, select Send. Note: If the pharmacy associated with the medication is hidden, a message appears with an option to select another pharmacy. The Send Prescription window opens. For multiple medications, all associated pharmacies must be active before you can send the medications. Only providers who are enrolled in ePrescribing and assigned a Surescripts Provider Identifier (SPI) can submit prescriptions electronically. If you are not enrolled, a message appears indicating that no SPI is allocated. You can contact your system administrator to check your enrollment details and see the Select a Supervising Physician section in File Maintenance. Optional: To remove a hidden pharmacy message from the Alerts section, select a destination pharmacy that is not hidden in the Destination field or through the Manage Patient Pharmacies link. Prescribe/Manage Prescriptions

You can launch the Medication module from this template to prescribe and manage medication. Select the Medications button. The Medication module opens. Select Prescribe New. The Medication Search template opens. Type the medication name in the Find field. As you type more letters of the name, the search is refined to match what you have entered. When you find the medication, double-click on it to add it to the Selected Medications grid. If the drug has any counter indications or interactions with other medications, or specifics of how it can be purchased or prescribed, a window opens for you to acknowledge those. When you have added all of the medications you need to the Selected Medications grid, click Select. The medications display in the Medication module. If the selected medication does not have defaults for the required Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date, click those fields and enter the information. Document a Medication

You can add medications details for the treatment of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, in the Medications panel, select Add /Update. The Medication Module window opens. Select Prescribe New. The Medication Search window opens. Search for a medicine from the list, and then select Select. Enter the start and stop date of the medication that the patient needs to take. Enter the quantity of the medication. To mention when and how the patient can take the medication, select Edit Sig:. Enter the number of refills allowed on the prescription of the patient. Enter the problem of the patient. If the medications are already prescribed, select the Prescribed elsewhere check box. Select Accept. Close the Medication module. In the Medications panel, to enter additional information about the medications, select the Comment link. Document Follow-up Details

You can enter follow-up appointment and disposition details on the Follow-up/Disposition template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, select the Follow Up button. The Follow-up/Disposition template opens. Follow-up/Disposition template The Follow-up/Disposition template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates in the group as the working assessment. The application defaults to the current working assessment. If required, you can select another assessment, which becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates in the group. Do one of the following: Select the diagnosis in the grid. In the Follow-up section, select follow up along with other details and the suggested time for the follow-up visit. To select a new diagnosis or modify an existing assessment for the current patient, select Add/Edit Assessment. With the correct description selected
