Set Up Provider Signoff

A provider can sign off on many different items, but you can specify which items are required.
  1. In System Administrator, select a practice.
  2. From the View menu, select Provider Sign-off Setup.
The Provider Sign-off Setup window opens.

  3. Select the enterprise and practice to specify which practice the set up is for, which limits the number of items (at the practice level) that can be included for review within the PAQ. The selections reduce the possibility of requiring providers to review PAQ items that typically may not require review within the provider’s practice.
  4. On the Provider tab, select which providers can use the Provider Approval Queue.
  5. Select the Setup tab.

  6. Select the items that a provider is required to sign off. Available items include:
    1. Documents. Select either all the available documents or the required documents.
    2. Images. Select either all the available images or the required images, including equipment reports.
    3. Crystal Reports. Select either all the available SAP®Crystal Reports® or the required reports. All the reports stored in the Custom Report Path (defined in Universal Preferences) appears. The reports require sign-off when they are saved to a patient chart.
    4. Transcriptions. Select Transcibed Notes to upload through the RTF File Monitor, the Note File Monitor, and the Rosetta HL7 interfaces.
    5. Lab Results. Select the provider who created the encounter or the provider who created the lab order, to be responsible for the signoff on an item.
    6. HIE Documents. Select HIE Documents. The HIE interface uses this setting to determine if it should change the sign-off status to pending.
  7. Select Options.
The Provider Approval Queue - Options window opens.

  8. Set the options that you want to apply for the Provider Approval Queue in the Provider Approval Queue - Options window.
    1. Under Custom Rules, select the following options to delete the rejected documents and images:
      • Delete Rejected Documents
      • Delete Rejected Images
    2. Under Table of Contents, select the following options to display from the patient chart (Encounter History) for the provider:
      • Display Pending Documents
      • Display Pending Images
      • Display Rejected Documents
      • Display Rejected Images
  9. Select OK.
