PDMP API URL	Enter the URL of the PDMP Gateway, supplied by Appriss Health, used to generate the reports.

ePrescribing Universal Preferences

The following table describes ePrescribing universal preferences: Preference Description Default Formulary Provider Sets up the default provider of formulary list for the medication search. Note: This preference is used only if the formulary search is enabled. The default provider is automatically set when you enable the formulary search. Electronic Prior Authorization Enable Enables electronic prior authorization (ePA) for the entire enterprise. Users with the appropriate security rights can initiate ePA in the Medications module and manage the ePA process. By default, the preference is set to False. When the preference is set to False, the Initiate ePA link and Manage ePA button in the Medications module and the View menu > Manage ePA menu item are hidden from users. EPCS Authentication Method Enter the Electronic Prescriptions of Controlled Substances (ePCS) authentication method you want to apply to the enterprise. Set Up Universal Preferences

How to use System Administrator to configure preferences that are not specific to a particular practice. To access and set up Universal Preferences: Select View > Universal Preferences. The Preferences window appears. Select the preferences folder you want to configure The window displays the available preferences. In the Preference list, double-click the preference you want to set up. A window displays for the selected preference. Enter the desired value for the preference, and then select OK. There are three types of preferences: Preference Type Description Boolean Select True to enable the preference or select False to disable it. Path Enter the path that applies to the preference. You can enter the path or select the Ellipsis button to navigate for the path. Free Text Enter the alphanumeric value to use for the preference. Note: Some Universal Preferences may include FTP (File Transfer Protocol) settings. Set up FTP settings only if your practice is using FTP to store information.

For electronic Prescription of Controlled Substances (ePCS) medications in NextGen® Mobile, you must configure the following in System Administrator: In user preferences, you must set the provider relationship as self in General. In universal and user preferences, you must set up the EPCS Authentication Method for ePrescribing as VIP for Symantec VIP and IdenTrust for IdenTrust MAS. Note: The application overrides universal preferences with user preferences.
