Equipment Universal Preferences

Use the following procedure in System Administrator to configure the following items:

  • GE CardioSoft demo mode
  • Midmark Holter Monitor path
  • Cardiac Science log in
  • Welch Allyn CardioPerfect log in

To configure universal preferences for IEM reports:

  • In the left pane, selectEquipment.
  • A list of Equipment preferences displays.
  • In the right section, double-click the following preferences to configure:

CardioSoft Demo ModeIf set toTrue,NextGen® Enterprise EHRsubstitutes actual patient’s demographics with demo patient information.
Holter File PathSpecifies the folder that stores the MidmarkFull Disclosure Holter Monitorreport until it is deleted by the provider.
Notify Logged In UserWhen set toTrue, workflow task notifications are sent to the user logged on to the Equipment module.
Notify ProviderWhen set toTrue, workflow task notifications are sent to the provider logged on to the Equipment module.
Store PDF Report on Equipment Report ModifyWhen set toTrue, the equipment report PDF is attached to the patient's encounter and displays in theEncounter Historytab. If the reports are updated, then the PDF is also updated in theEncounter Historytab.

PDF reports are treated as images and are stored in the same location where images are stored (either as files in specified folder, BLOBs in aNextGen® Enterprise EHRdatabase, or as BLOBs in a separate images database.

UseNextGen® Enterprise EHRuser for Cardiac Science loginWhen set toTrue,NextGen® Enterprise EHRsends encrypted user information andView,Update, andDeletepermissions to the HeartCentrix server. In this case, the NextGen Cardiac Science Verify component must be deployed on the client’s HeartCentrix server to provide the NextGen user rights to the HeartCentrix server.

If set toFalse(default),NextGen® Enterpriseautomatically log on to HeartCentrix with a default user name and password.

In this case, a different user can be set up using the System Password function inNextGen® Enterprise EHRfor the system to automatically log on to the Cardiac Science HeartCentrix application. However, the access rights for this user must be configured in the Cardiac Science HeartCentrix Administrator application.

Use Welch Allyn CardioPerfect user logiWhen set toTrue, users must log on to CardioPerfect each time they access it using their Welch Allyn interface user name and password instead of the default CardioPerfect user name and password.

In this case, a CardioPerfect user and password can be set using the System Password function inNextGen® Enterprise EHRfor the system to automatically log on to the Welch Allyn CardioPerfect application.

If set toFalse(default),NextGen® Enterprise EHRautomatically log on to CardioPerfect with a default user name and password.
