Delete a Topic from the Patient's Chart

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the Delete Patient Education Document access right set to Yes in Rights > Operations > Patient Education > Delete Patient Education Document in System Administrator. You can delete the patient education document from the patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. Select an unlocked encounter and select the button The Encounter Details window opens. Select the item you want to delete, and select the button. Select Delete. Note: If the seleted patient education document has sent to patient portal, an application message appears stating that the document has already sent to patient portal and unable to delete. You can send selected patient education documents to NextGen® PxP Portal. You can send patient education documents to NextGen® PxP Portal and save the document to the encounter for the selected patient. Note: In System Administrator, if Access Rights for Documents is set to No, then you cannot access Document on the NNextGen Care® Population Management Hub toolbar. For more information about setting access permissions to Document in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Make Education Documents Available to Patients

From the Checkout tab, expand the Patient Education panel. Select an education document in the grid. Patient Education Do one of the following: To print a document, click Print. To save a document to an encounter, click Save to Encounter. To send an education document to NextGen® PxP Portal, click Send to Patient Portal. To access the patient education browser for more education resources, click Browser. Note: To remove a document from the cart, click Remove and then click Remove. Person Extract Operation

The Person Extract operations subgroup in System Administrator enables users to access the Person Extract option in the File menu in File Maintenance. The users with person extract permission can export the Electronic Health Information (EHI) of a patient. If the Enterprise Chart is enabled, a user must have system admin rights in every practice within the Enterprise, and the patient must be enrolled in Enterprise Chart to extract EHI from every practice within the Enterprise.
