Saving Changes

Once all necessary fields are complete, select OK. In the Channel Tasks panel, select Save Changes, then deploy the channel. The channel's source connector will automatically use the server certificates and will trust the client certificates you set. Restore a Saved SSL Manager Configuration

After backing up your configuration, you can restore it to another Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare server with the SSL Manager installed using the following steps. On the Settings page - SSL Manager tab, select Restore in the SSL Manager Tasks panel. Selecting Restore on the SSL Manager Tasks Tab The Open window appears. Enabled TLS/SSL Protocols

The protocol is the version of the TLS/SSL standard that is used by both the client and server. By default, only the most secure protocols are enabled, but if you are communicating with a legacy server that only supports an older, weaker protocol, you can configure your connector to use it without affecting any other connectors or channels. Using the SSL Tunnels Service

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a cryptographic protocol for providing secure communications over TCP/IP networks. Using SSL enables you to securely exchange messages over public networks such as the Internet. With the SSL Tunnels service, Mirth® Appliance by NextGen Healthcare you can accept SSL connections for any of the listener-based Mirth® Connect connector types such as HTTP, LLP/MLLP, SOAP, and TCP. You can also add SSL to the corresponding destination connectors. Inbound tunnels accept an SSL connection from a remote host and pass it to the listening port of a Mirth® Connect channel on the local system. Outbound tunnels listen on a local port for a Mirth® Connect destination connector, add an SSL layer to the connection, and pass it on to a specific remote host. Note: Consult your network administrators regarding setting up two-way SSL authentication. Restore Server Configuration

Launch the Mirth Connect Administrator (see Mirth Connect Administrator Overview) . In the Mirth Connect pane, select Settings. Select the Server tab if not already selected. In the Server Tasks pane, select Restore Config. Select the server configuration XML file you exported earlier, then select Open. You will be prompted to confirm your action. You can also choose whether or not you want channels to automatically be deployed after the restore finishes. Select Yes to begin the restore process. Once the restore process is complete, a dialog appears indicating whether the restore was successfully performed. Select OK to close the information message. Parent topic: Changing the Database Type
