Providers
The names of the ordering, primary, rendering, and supervising providers for the patient encounter appear at the top of the NTS Homepage template. The Ordering field displays the provider's name from the case properties. The Rendering and Supervising fields display the provider names from the encounter properties. The field labels correspond to the selected visit type as follows: For PT/OT and speech therapy, the labels are: Primary Therapist, Rendering Therapist, and Supervising Therapist. For chiropractic visits, the labels are: Primary Physician, Rendering Physician, and Supervising Physician. For audiology visits, the labels are: Primary Aud, Rendering Aud, and Supervising Aud. Select a Visit Type for the Patient Encounter
The visit type you select determines the workflow for the patient encounter. Note: In the Billing Configuration system template, your administrator configures which visit types you can choose from. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Configuration Guide for NextGen® Therapy Suite. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter. Historian
You can record if someone other than the patient is providing information on the patient’s medical history. The entry in the Historian field also appears on the Office Visit document. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a visit type. Select the Historian field, and then do one of the following: Select the relationship of the historian to the patient. Acknowledge the Review of Past Medical History
Before you begin Ensure that you have reviewed the medical history and medications with the patient. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template. Select the Past Med Hx and Medication Verified checkbox. Parent topic: Homepage Template

Provider Fields
The name in the field for the Ordering provider pulls directly from the case properties. The names in the fields for the Rendering and Supervising providers pull directly from the encounter properties. The Primary Therapist field is an optional field. Parent topic: Top Section

Set a Provider as the Patient's Primary Care Provider
Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient. Select the Provider tab, and select the provider entry.The Primary column currently displays N. Select the open menu icon, and then select Make Primary. In the confirmation message that appears, select Yes.The Primary column now displays Y. Note: In the Modify Patient Provider window, the Primary Preference Name checkbox is automatically selected for this provider. Parent topic: Managing Provider Information
