Add a Treating Diagnosis from the Common Assessments Template

You can add additional treating diagnoses using IMO or Common assessment templates. Note: If your practice is licensed for Problem Intelligent Medical Objects (IMO) functionality, select the Problem IT button under the Treating Dx grid to open IMO to add assessments. Select Add. The Inf Common Assessment window opens. If the Common Assessments field is blank or does not show the Diagnosis Codes page you want, do the following: Select the Common Assessments field. The Inf Common Assess Dbpl window opens. Select the Diagnosis Codes page you want, and then select OK. The selected Diagnosis Codes page opens. Select one or more diagnoses. If you select an item with a plus sign, a picklist opens for you to select a more specific diagnosis. The Treating grid shows all selected diagnoses. Select Save & Close. The diagnosis descriptions and codes that you have selected enter the Treating Dx grid on the Single Visit template. Parent topic: Ordering Dx and Treating Dx

Sort Treating Diagnoses

The Treating Dx grid show diagnoses in the order they will appear in on the claims form. You can sort the order of the items in the Treating Dx grid, to put the most relevant items for today’s encounter at the top. Select the Sort DX button. The NTS Diag Sort window opens. The top grid in this window shows all diagnosis in their current order. NTS Diag Sort template Select the primary diagnosis for today in the top grid. The diagnosis moves to the lower grid, as #1 in the new order. Select the additional diagnoses in the order of their relevance to the treatment for that visit. Diagnoses move to the bottom grid in the order they are selected. Select Save & Close. The window closes. The Treating Dx grid displays the new order. Parent topic: Ordering Dx and Treating Dx

If you do not see the diagnosis you need on the Common Assessments template, you can search for it. Select the Search field, and then enter the code or a word or words that describe the condition. Select Search. A search window opens with all codes related to your entry. Inf Common Assess Search picklist Select the diagnosis code, and then select OK to add it to the Treating grid, or, if necessary, change your search. Select Save & Close.
