Add Surgery Information to the NTS Homepage Template

You can document the patient's past and upcoming surgeries and indicate whether they pertain to the injury you are treating. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template, and then select a visit type. Below the Surgery grid, select Add to open the NTS Surgery template. Select Surgery Description, and then do one of the following in the Surgeries list, do one of the following: Select a surgery name, and then select OK. Select the first blank line, select OK, and then enter a custom description. Enter the surgery date and CPT4 code. Select Add. In the confirmation message, do one of the following: If the surgery is related to today’s treatment, select Yes. The surgery information appears in both the Surgical History and Surgery Related to Therapy Episode grids. If the surgery date occurs after the patient completes treatment, the numbers in the Days and Weeks columns appear as negative numbers. If the surgery

View the Last Progress Note Date Information

Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. To view the encounter date of the previous evaluation or progress visit, open the NTS Homepage template for the patient, and then review the Last Progress Note date field. The Last Progress Note date field is updated when you submit charges on an encounter with the PT Progress visit type. To view the number of days and visits remaining until the next progress note is due, open a Single Visit template for the patient, expand the Case Details side panel, and then review the information in Last Progress Visit. The remaining time is calculated from the payer configuration in the Finclass and Payer Settings section of the NTS System Config template. Historian

You can record if someone other than the patient is providing information on the patient’s medical history. The entry in the Historian field also appears on the Office Visit document. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter, and then select a visit type. Select the Historian field, and then do one of the following: Select the relationship of the historian to the patient. Providers

The names of the ordering, primary, rendering, and supervising providers for the patient encounter appear at the top of the NTS Homepage template. The Ordering field displays the provider's name from the case properties. The Rendering and Supervising fields display the provider names from the encounter properties. The field labels correspond to the selected visit type as follows: For PT/OT and speech therapy, the labels are: Primary Therapist, Rendering Therapist, and Supervising Therapist. For chiropractic visits, the labels are: Primary Physician, Rendering Physician, and Supervising Physician. For audiology visits, the labels are: Primary Aud, Rendering Aud, and Supervising Aud. Select a Visit Type for the Patient Encounter

The visit type you select determines the workflow for the patient encounter. Note: In the Billing Configuration system template, your administrator configures which visit types you can choose from. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Configuration Guide for NextGen® Therapy Suite. Open a patient record, and then in Encounter History, expand a case and select an encounter. Open the NTS Homepage template associated with the encounter. Homepage Template

Open the NTS Homepage template as the starting point for all visits. On it, you can view key information such as scripts, authorizations, KX modifier, and the plan of care. The application tracks this information and, when you open the NTS Homepage template, alerts you if action is needed.
