Establish a Patient as Self Pay
If a patient has a yearly limit that is being tracked or an existing authorization that expires and the insurance will no longer authorize payment until the insurance policy renews, a user can mark that patient as Self Pay for a selected period of time. Select the NBR field to select the Precert number that now needs to be self-pay. From the calendar popups, select the Effective and Expiration dates for the self-pay period.
