Enter Treatments/Activities for a Body Area

By default, when you open the template, all grids are in Grid-Edit mode and the D button for all grids is active (D). Therefore, unless you clear the D checkbox, when you add new therapies to grids, they are marked as “Done.” Select the Body Area field. The Body Area picklist opens. Select the body area that the treatment or activity is designed to help, and then select OK. Make sure the grid is in Grid-Edit mode. For more information, see Treatment Template Editing Modes. Select the Item field. A picklist of therapies for the selected body part opens. Treatment picklist for the Item field Select an item from the picklist or, to type the entry in the Item field, select the blank at the top of the picklist. Select the Reps, Sets, and Resistance as appropriate. In the S field, indicate the side that the treatment is performed on by selecting R, L, or B for right side, left side, or both. Allow Body Area Override

When you enter exercises the first time in a treatment grid, they appear under a header (either a body area or Other). If you need to move the exercise to a different header, use the Allow Body Area Override checkbox. You must be in Single-Edit Mode to use the Allow Body Area Override checkbox. Allow Body Area Override checkbox Select Edit to put the grid into Single-Edit Mode. Select a row in the grid. Select the Allow Body Area Override checkbox. Select in the Body Area field to select the new Body Area the exercise should be under. The example below shows the exercise item Hamstring Stretch 1 min under the Knee Body Area and needs to be moved to the Hip body area. Note: When you select a row, the original Body Area populates the Body Area field. Body area added to Body Area field Select Update to save the changes. Update a Single Grid Entry

To change the details of an item already in the grid, the grid must be in Single-Edit mode. If the grid is in Grid-Edit mode, select the Edit button to put the grid in Single-Edit mode. Edit button in Grid-Edit Mode The Edit button changes to Cancel. Select the activity in the grid. The activity information fills the fields above the grid. Update the entries in the fields. Updated entries Note: When editing a single item, the D checkbox is automatically marked. If you do not want the exercise to be marked as “Done” for this encounter, clear the D checkbox. Enter Treatments Not Associated with a Body Part

To type a treatment directly into Item fields without having picklists open, clear any selection in the Body Area field. Treatments and exercises not associated with a body part enter the grid under the category of Other. Select the Item field and enter a name or description of the therapy. To add a number of repetitions and sets for the activity: In the Reps field, select the number of repetitions. The Reps field label turns red and the AINF PT Sets picklist opens. Select the number of sets or close the picklist. Do any of the following to further define the therapy: To indicate that the therapy is performed with resistance, select the Resist field, and then select a resistance color or select Weight and enter the weight. To indicate that the therapy is performed only on one side, select the S field, and then select R, L, or B. To indicate that the therapy is done in a group or as part of a home exercise program, enter a checkmark in the Grp or HEP field, respectively. Make sure that

Grid-Edit Mode

Use Grid-Edit mode for adding entries into the treatment grids and for making changes to multiple rows in a grid at once. Grid-Edit mode is the default mode when the template is initially opened. In Grid-Edit mode, the window displays Grid-Edit Mode. Grid-Edit Mode for a treatment grid In Grid-Edit mode, you can: Enter items into treatment grids by typing, selecting from picklists, using a QuickPick or Get Data. See Use Get Data and QuickPicks. Mark items in any grid as D (done or completed today in the facility), Grp (Group Therapy), or part of a HEP (Home Exercise Program). Enter Exercises

Select the Item field of the grid to enter an exercise. Select the Reps, Sets, and Resistance as appropriate. If the exercise was or should be performed in Shallow or Deep water, select the option to indicate that. If you are performing the treatment or exercise today, make sure that the D field has a checkmark. If the exercise is to be performed in a group, select the Grp group therapy checkbox. Selecting the Grp checkbox makes the billing code a group therapy code. If any exercises are done in group, you are prompted to document the total group time and the number of participants in the group. To indicate the treatment was or should be performed only on one side of the body, select a side under S. Select Add. The exercise is added to the grid. Parent topic: Aquatherapy Template
