Fracture Care Procedure Code
You can enter the Fracture Care procedure code from the following areas: A procedure page on the IORTS Px Xpo template. See Add a Surgical Procedure. Add a Diagnosis to Plan
The Diagnosis grid displays the patient’s diagnoses. You can add a diagnosis for today’s visit or use one from the Diagnosis grid. Filter the grid by selecting the Orthopedic or Medical option above the Diagnosis grid. Click Add under the grid to launch the Common Assessment template or click Problem IT if using IMO. Select a diagnosis to add to the patient’s history. Click Save & Close. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid to add it to today’s plan. The selected diagnosis moved to the Diagnosis field. Note: For the multi-fracture template, you can select the second and third diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid and the diagnosis are assigned to the Fracture 2 and Fracture 3 field respectively. Fracture Care Workflow
Use the Fracture Care Visit templates for fracture care where an E&M code is not being calculated/billed out. There are separate templates for Single Fracture (FC Single FX) for one fracture care code, Multi FX (FC Multiple FX) for up to three fracture care codes, and Poly Trauma (FC Poly Trauma) for unlimited fracture care codes. These templates all have three panels; History, Physical Exam and Assessment and Plan. The fracture care templates are accessed by clicking the New Fracture tab and selecting the desired template. Assessments
The Today’s Diagnosis grid pulls diagnoses entered on the Fracture Care templates. Any diagnoses with a check mark is added to the corresponding procedure codes in the coding grid. Assessment and Plan Panel - Single Fracture
The Assessment and Plan panel enables the provider to submit a single fracture care code, document the plan, verbal counseling and next visit information. It also has quick links to cast or splint, DME, and office procedures. Select the Fracture Care Visit Type
In a fracture care visit, no E&M code is displayed in the E&M Code field. Use the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid to submit an office visit. On the Finalize Visit template, in the Non-Billable & Initial Fracture Care grid, click Fracture Care Visit. If dictation is enabled, the IORTSfinalize Po template opens.
