Delete a Tab from Top Navigation Bar
You can delete a tab from a Visit/workflow or Single Bar navigation. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends not to delete the default Single Bar navigation links that come out of the box; only ones that have been created by the practice. On the Specialty Nav Config system template, expand the Top Bar Navigation panel. Do one of the following: From the first column of the Visit Type / Workflow grid, select the Visit Type. Change Workflow or Single Bar Navigation Links
You can change the default Visit Type/Workflow or Single Bar Template tab links, display names, and their order. The instructions to do so are the same for both sections. On the Specialty Nav Config system template, expand the Top Bar Navigation panel. Select the Visit Type or Template Name from the first column of the respective grid. Note: The asterisk visit type is the default setting. The gray tabs at the top displays the current configuration, and the links and display names fill the corresponding fields below the grid. Click in a Link field to add or change a picklist or template. This opens the Inf Nav Item List. This list has the item DB Picklist at the top, and a list of templates. Link field in the Top Bar Navigation panel Do one of the following: Select DB Picklist to open a list of database picklists, select a database picklist to launch from the tab, and click OK. Select a template that you want to launch from the tab and click OK. The new picklist or template name appear

Change Tab Order in the Top Navigation Bar
You can change the order in which the tabs appear in the gray navigation bar. The numbers above the fields below the grid indicate the order, left to right. On the Specialty Nav Config system template, expand the Top Bar Navigation panel. Do one of the following: From the first column of the Visit Type / Workflow grid, select the Visit Type. From the first column of the Single Bar Navigation grid, select the Template Name. Click on the Position fields above the Link fields to change the order numbers. Click Add/Update. Add a Tab to Single Bar Navigation
You can add a new template into the workflow of the Single Bar Navigation. On the Specialty Nav Config system template, expand the Top Bar Navigation panel. In the field below Template Name column of the Single Bar Navigation grid, select the desired template. In the field below the Display column, enter the desired display name. Add option in the Top Bar Navigation panel Click any Link field to add a linked template or picklist to the navigation. Do one of the following: Select DB Picklist to open a list of database picklists, select a database picklist to launch from the tab, and click OK. Select a template that you want to launch from the tab, and click OK. The new picklist or template into the Link field. Enter or edit the display name in the Display field below the Link field. Managing Top Navigation Bar
You can control which tabs appear in the gray workflow bar at the top of NextGen® Orthopedic Suite templates from the Top Bar Navigation panel of the Specialty Nav Config system template. You can change the tab links (the template pages or picklists that the tabs open), the tab display names and their order. For optimal workflow, NextGen Healthcare recommend keeping the links as close to the default set as possible. There are two sections in the Top Bar Navigation panel: Visit Type/Workflow: Use this section to configure templates accessed from the top bar of the standard configured workflow. Single Bar Navigation: Use this section to configure templates accessed from the top bar of templates outside the workflow. You can also add a new template to single bar navigation.
