Configuring Preferences for Non-Billable Procedures

You can update the procedure information and configure financial classes and payers for various non-billable procedures. You can use the Non-billable panel on the Billing Configuration practice template to do the following for a non-billable procedure. Select a Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code Select an International Classification of Diseases (ICD) code Manage financial classes that require specific ICD codes Manage payers in the exclusion list for a financial class Non-billable panel on the Billing Configuration template Selecting a procedure from the Procedures grid displays the description, CPT code, and ICD code in their corresponding fields, and you can update them as needed. You can also add or remove financial classes in the Financial Classes grid for the selected procedure. If you select an existing financial class from the Financial Classes grid, the applicable payers are displayed in their corresponding grids that help you manage the payers in the exclusion list for

Exclusions

You can set financial classes and payers that have restrictions on Consult visits or E&M coded visits with injections on the Exclusions panel of the Billing Configuration practice template. The Consult Visit Codes grid gives you the ability to configure Consult Visit codes for financial classes that exclude them. Enable a Financial Class for MIPS Quality Measures

You can add an eligible financial class for MIPS Quality measures. On the Billing Configuration practice template, expand the MIPS Quality Measures panel. In the field below the Eligible financial classes for MIPS Quality Measures reporting grid, select the financial class. Click Add. The financial class appears in the grid. Select the financial class in the Eligible financial classes for MIPS Quality Measures reporting grid to see all payers for that financial class, in the Payers in the list and Payers not in the list grids. Exclude Payers from MIPS Quality Measures Eligibility

You can indicate that certain payers in a financial class are exceptions to the eligibility for MIPS, by moving them to the Payers in the list grid. On the Billing Configuration practice template, expand the MIPS Quality Measures panel. In the Eligible financial classes for MIPS Quality Measures reporting grid, select the financial class. Payers in the financial class appear in the Payers in the list grid. Use the right-pointing arrow to move payers to the Payers not in the list grid. Add a CPT Code or Visit Code to the Group Type

You can add an applicable CPT code or visit code to the group type. On the Billing Configuration practice template, expand the MIPS Quality Measures panel. Under the Quality Mesures section, select the group in the Group grid. The Type and Applicable CPT Codes grids show codes for that group. Note: When MIPS Quality Measure information is sent to billing from the Finalize Visit template, the visit charge code must match one of those in Applicable CPT Codes grid. Click the small field below the Applicable CPT Codes grid. The Select Procedure window opens. Select the procedure to be added, and click OK. Disable a Financial Class MIPS Quality Measures

You can disable MIPS Quality Measures reporting feature for the financial classes and payers who no longer require it. On the Billing Configuration practice template, expand the MIPS Quality Measures panel. In the Eligible financial classes for MIPS Quality Measures reporting grid, select the financial class.
