Document Cash and Carry Supplies

You can document any cash and carry items handed out during the visit. These items do not require a script. The total amount owed for the cash supplies is displayed on the Check-Out template for front desk staff to collect at check-out.

  1. Click the Supplies button below the Office Procedures grid.
    The Cash Supplies template opens.

  2. Select the item from the Cash Supplies grid.
    This enters the selected item, code, and price into the fields below the grid.
  3. Enter the quantity in the Qty field.
  4. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid.
    The Diagnosis and DX Code are filled.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 to add as many items as needed.
  6. Click Calculate to calculate the total amount owed.
  7. Enter the provider’s name in the Provider field.
  8. If you intend to include cash supplies on the ABN form for Medicare, click the link Click to add items to ABN.
    The selected cash supplies are added to the ABN Items grid and appear on the ABN template and form.
  9. Click Submit to generate the Supplies Order document.
  10. Click Save & Close in the top navigation.
