Ophthalmology Contact Lens Type Data Set

The Ophthalmic Contact Lens Types data set is used on the Contact Lens Evaluation – OPH template to populate fields related to contact lens type that in previous versions where hard-coded. When you click the Type fields on the template, a list of contact lens types opens from which you can select the appropriate contact lens for the patient.

Because contact lenses are constantly changing, having the Ophthalmology contact lens types data set enables providers to easily update and maintain a current list of available contact lens types to select from when documenting a contact lens fitting encounter.

Contact lens information in the Ophthalmology contact lens type data set is easily reviewed and updated. Existing contact lens types can be modified, and new contact lenses added using the Template Data Sets Setup - [New Record] template. There are no special considerations for maintaining this data set.
