Filter the Medications Grid
To filter the medications displayed in the
Medications
grid, select one of the following options:
All
- displays all active medications for the patient
Ocular
- displays only active ocular medications
Systemic
- displays only active systemic medications
Select the
Include inactive
check box to display both active and inactive medications for the patient.

Medications
The Medications panel for Ophthalmic specialties displays a list of current medications documented in the system for the patient. You can filter medications by selecting one of the following options: All, Ocular, or Systemic. You can choose to display both current and inactive medications in the grid. If a patient is not currently taking any medications, select the No medications this encounter check box. You can document new medications and information for existing medications through the Medication module. medication panel Note: You must refresh the Medications grid to display updated information from the Medication module. If you document medication information in the Medication module, you will not see the new information until you refresh the grid. The grid refreshes when you close and open the template or navigate away from it and reuturn. Filter Medication Information
Use the options above the Medication Information Configuration grid to filter the grid display. The Grid Filter options filter the grid to display All medications, or only Billable or Non-Billable medications. Filter the Completed Medication Grid
You can filter the Completed Medication grid to display all medications or a specific medications. The default is to display All Medications. Select a medication from the Medication Management grid. Select the Selected Medication option. The grid displays all incidents when the selected medication was dispensed or administered through this template. Parent topic: Completed Medications

Provider Medication Review and Update
Providers can review and update the patient's list of medications on the Medications panel. If the patient is not currently taking any medications, select the No medications this encounter check box. To filter the medications displayed in the Medications grid, select one of the following options. All - displays all active medications for the patient Ocular - displays only active ocular medications Systemic - displays only active systemic medications Select the Include inactive check box to display both active and inactive medications for the patient. Click the Add/Update button to add or update medication information. Click the Reconcile button to launch the Medication Review template to perform a review or reconciliation of the patient's medications. To indicate patient status, such as when performing a medication review or reconciliation, select the appropriate check boxes. View Patients that were Administered the Selected Medication
Filter the Inventory Grid to find the medication. Select the medication. Expand the Patients Administered Selected Medication panel. The grid shows patients that have been administered the selected medication. Parent topic: Patients Administered Selected Medication

Activate a Medication
Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Medication Dispensing Inventory panel. Select an inactive medication from the grid.The medication information appears in the fields.
