Record Binocular Balance
In the Binocular Balance section, enter OD findings for the following: SPH CYL Axis ADD Prism 1 Base 1 Prism 2 Base 2 Dva and mod Nva and mod To copy the OD row to the Glasses Prescription to Print section, select Set Binocular Balance OD For the OS row, enter findings for the following: SPH CYL Axis ADD Prism 1 Base 1 Prism 2 Base 2 Dva and mod Nva and mod To copy the row to the Glasses Prescription to Print section, select Set Binocular Balance OS. Print Glasses Prescription for Low Vision
The Glasses Prescription to Print panel on the LV Exam - OPT template displays sets of findings from the different lensometry and refraction exams. You can select or update the values to create the new glasses prescriptions for the patient. After you finalize the prescription information, you can print each prescription separately and give them to the patient. To use a set of findings from the lensometry and refraction exams for the new prescription, select the check box to the left of the set of findings values you want to use. The exam values in the set are copied to the New Rx 1 prescription fields. Make changes to the prescription, as needed, and enter Comments for New Rx 1. Click Print Rx 1 to generate a prescription for the patient. To copy the values from New Rx 1 to New Rx 2, select Copy Rx1 to Rx 2. Make changes to the prescription, as needed, and enter Comments for New Rx 2. Click Print Rx 2 to generate a prescription for the patient. Parent topic: Lensometry/Refraction Panel

Document a Lensometry Exam
Expand the Lensometry/Refraction panel if not already expanded. Select the Glasses Rx Verified By check box to indicate that you verified the glasses prescription. The current user name fills the corresponding field. In the Lensometry section, enter OD values in the following fields: SPH CYL Axis - enter a numeric value ADD Prism 1 Base 1 Prism 2 Base 2 Repeat step three to enter OS values. Enter Manifest Refraction Findings
The Manifest RX section includes data fields for documenting manifest refraction and manifest visual acuity findings. In the Manifest RX section, enter the values for OD. The Submit charge for refraction check box is selected automatically when refraction values are documented. Enter the manifest visual acuity in the following fields: Dva Dva modifier Nva Nva modifier Repeat steps 1-2 to enter OS values. Enter OU values. Important: If your practice has added multiple SIM codes to the Refraction Billing (RxBL) Service Category in File Maintenance, you have to clear and re-select the Submit charge for refraction billing check box to open a DB picklist listing the configured codes. You can then select the appropriate code. If you do not want to submit charges, clear the Submit charge for refraction check box. Enter Comments.
