As a provider, you can document a general return to clinic order for patients without an assessment by selecting the General RTC check box.
Select the General RTC check box.
If an assessment is selected and an impression or plan is entered, the system alerts you to finish documenting that assessment and plan. You can only click General RTC if the assessment and plan fields are empty.
Click the Return to Clinic field and select the following from the lists that appear:
Select a number and then select the unit of time (days, weeks, months, or years).
Select the provider to schedule the return visit with.
Select one or more types of exams to be performed on the return visit, then click Close.
(This list of providers must be set up by the practice.)
Type or click the My Phrases link to enter the return to clinic details.
Note:My Phrases can be used to create reusable return to clinic orders.
Click Add to Grid.
The return to clinic order appears in the Impression/Plan grid and is distinguished by Follow up in the Order column.
