You can document post-operative complications after cataract surgery requiring additional surgery on the Cataract Post-Op Complications template. Information documented here also appears on the Postoperative Exam - OPH template.
- On the Assessment/Plan - OPH template, in the Plan section, click the Cataract Post-Op Plan link.
The Cataract Post-Op Complications template opens.
- Click the S/P surgery field to select the procedure.
- Select the affected eye or eyes for the Eye field.
- Enter Global days, Date of surgery, and the Surgeon.
- If additional surgery is required, select the Additional surgery performed within 30 days post cataract surgery due to field and enter the details in the corresponding field.
- Click Save & Close.
