Configure Default View for Assessment/Plan - OPH Template
To configure the default view of Assessment/Plan - OPH template. Open the Eye Configuration practice template, and then double-click a row in the Provider Specialty grid to select the desired provider. configuring default view for assessment/plan - oph template In the Default speciality section, select Dx Hx or Previous Impression/Plan. Ophthalmic Provider Configuration Options
The Provider Specialty grid on the Eye Configuration practice template displays details for providers that have been set up with special configurations and permissions specific to NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite including: Assign providers to different sub-specialties of Ophthalmology. Setting the sub-specialty for Ophthalmology providers causes template navigation to automatically be configured for their sub-specialty when they open the Ophthalmology templates. This setting is optional for generalists. Give privileges to individual providers to be able to copy forward portions of their last exams to a new encounter. By default, the Copy last exam forward option is not selected. Allow the Provider HPI Details section of the Ophthalmology Generic HPI to be editable by the technician or scribe for an individual provider. Assign a Provider to an Ophthalmology Sub-Specialty
Right-click the Provider Specialty grid and select Add new from the drop-down menu to open the Ophthalmology Provider Specialty - [New Record] template. Click the Provider Name field and select a provider from the list of all providers in the system for the practice. Click the Specialty field and select the specialty from the list. Select the Retina specialty if a provider sees only Retina patients. The Specialty field may be left blank if the provider is a generalist. Select the use copy last exam forward check box to permit the provider to use the Copy Forward Last Exam function. The use copy last exam forward check box allows providers to copy exam findings forward from one visit to the next so that they can easily compare the current encounter to the previous and document those findings that have changed.
