Remove a Template from the Preferred Templates List

Scroll down the Preferred Templates list on the right side to locate the template you want to remove. Select to highlight the template name in the list. Click the left arrow button to remove the highlighted template from the Preferred Templates list on the right side. After selecting the templates you want to remove from the Preferred Templates list, click Apply. If you have finished configuring your preferences, click OK. Note: To remove all templates listed from the Preferred Templates list on the right, click the double left arrow button. The Preferred Templates list will be cleared. Templates that a user prefers to use and wants to access quickly can be added to a preferred templates list for the user. When you have created a list of preferred templates, those templates display in the Template Launcher Select Template window when you select the option to Show Preferred. Add a Template to the Preferred Templates List

To make the templates you most frequently use easier to access, you can select a list of preferred templates to display. You must set up separate preferred lists for Medical Records, Demographics, Group, System, Practice, and Case templates. Select the template type from the Template Type list. Medical Records is the default template type in the Template Type list. The available templates for that template type display in the Available Templates pane. Do one of the following: For each template to add as a preferred template, select the template, and select the single-arrow button to add it to the Preferred Templates pane. To move all templates to the Preferred Templates pane, select the double-arrow button. Select Apply. Select OK. Parent topic: Templates Preferences

Create a Template Set

From the Menu bar, select Tools, and then select Template Sets. The Template Sets window opens. Select New. The New Template Set window opens. Enter the name of the new template set, and then select Add. The new set is created and the list of all available templates appears. You can begin assigning templates to the template set. Note: You cannot delete a template set. If a template set is no longer needed, you can disable it. Repeat Steps 1-3 to create all necessary template sets. Select Close. Parent topic: Template Sets

Configuring a Default Template Configuring a Default Template Templates in the Available Templates list are listed using their display name. The Default Template list is used to select a preferred template to open, and lists templates by their formal Template Editor name. default template field Note: In Preferences, the Default Template field list of templates displays the formal names used in Template Editor. This name is different from the user-friendly display name seen in run-time. Display names are seen in the Templates Available list in the section above the default template fields. In Template Editor, you can cross-reference the display name of a template to its formal name by selecting to search for a template using its display name when you open a template. When you select both a default medical records template and a default demographics template, the patient chart opens to display the demographics template. Open a Template

Do one of the following: On the Main toolbar, select Open. From the Menu bar, select File, and then select Open. The Open window opens with Templates selected by default. To quickly find a template by name, do the following: Select the Template Name (default) or Display Name option. Enter the first few letters of the name in Template name. The window displays the group of template snippets that start with that name. To narrow your search by template type or set, make a selection from the Template type list. Double-click the template you want to open. The template opens. To close the template, from the File menu, select Close. Parent topic: Template Setup
