Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8
To install and use the NextGen D2D application, you must install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (x86 and x64). To download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8, do one of the following: Go to https://d2d-package.entradahealth.net/, and follow the onscreen instruction. Go to https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net48-developer-pack-offline-installer. The Microsoft .NET Framework download page opens, and the ndp48-devpack-enu installer file is automatically downloaded. If not, you can select click here to download manually. Locate the file, right-click, and then select Run as administrator. A message appears displaying the Microsoft .NET Framework installer file details. You must verify and confirm to continue the installation. Select Yes. Install and Set Up NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop
Before you begin To use Direct to Desktop in NextGen® Mobile, you must be a NextGen® Mobile plus user. You can install NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop (D2D) on your desktop and set up Direct to Desktop in NextGen® Mobile to dictate text directly into desired locations. Note: The NextGen® Mobile plus users can use the Direct to Desktop functionality in NextGen® Mobile version 9.0.0 or later. Note: For hosted clients, the clinic's IT team or the NextGen Hosting Services team must install NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop on the terminal servers where NextGen® Enterprise EHR is installed. Users can open NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop on the available terminal server and pair with NextGen® Mobile. NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop saves the pairing records per user log on and desktop. Pair NextGen® Mobile with Desktops
You can pair NextGen® Mobile with multiple desktops. Up to 100 devices can be displayed on the Paired Devices window. Open NextGen® Mobile. Select Direct to Desktop. The Dictation window opens. Dictation view with select a device and pair a device options Select Pair a Device. The OTP verification view opens. Open NextGen D2D on the desktop to pair. NextGen D2D window Select Pair New Device. A four digit OTP appears. Enter the OTP in NextGen® Mobile. Select Verify and Proceed. A message appears confirming that the device is paired. Select OKAY. The Dictation window opens indicating that the desktop device is connected. To pair another desktop, select . The Paired Devices window opens. Select Pair a Device. The OTP verification view opens. Installation Prerequisites
For installing NextGen Direct to Desktop (D2D) on your desktop and setting up Direct to Desktop in NextGen® Mobile, you must ensure to have the following: An authorized and authenticated desktop with NextGen® Enterprise EHR 5.9.0 or later installed. Connect Paired Desktops in NextGen® Mobile
When you have multiple desktops paired with NextGen® Mobile, you must ensure that you are connected to the correct desktop before dictating. All paired desktops that are open and available are displayed in the Active Devices section and the paired desktops that are not open and available are displayed in the Inactive Devices section. Open NextGen® Mobile. Select Direct to Desktop. The Dictation window opens indicating that the desktop device is connected. The Dictation window displays Select a device when no desktop is connected. Select or Select a device. The Paired Devices window displays the list of paired desktops up to 100. Select a desktop to connect.
