Software Prerequisites

For installing NextGen Direct to Desktop (D2D) on your desktop and setting up Direct to Desktop in NextGen® Mobile, you must ensure that you have the installed the following software:

• Microsoft® Windows
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (x86 and x64)

  Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (x86 and x64) is automatically installed to the machines with the following versions of Windows® 10 Operating System (OS):

  • Windows® 10 May 2021 Update
  • Windows® 10 October 2020 Update
  • Windows® 10 May 2020 Update
  • Windows® 10 November 2019 Update
  • Windows® 10 May 2019 Update

  You must manually install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (x86 and x64) to the respective machines with the following versions of Windows® OS:

  • Windows® 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809)
  • Windows® 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803)
  • Windows® 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709)
  • Windows® 10 Creators Update (version 1703)
  • Windows® 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607)
  • Windows® Server 2019
  • Windows® Server, version 1809
  • Windows® Server, version 1803
  • Windows® Server 2016

  Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 (x86 and x64) is not supported on the machines with the following versions of Windows® OS:

  • Windows® 10 1507
  • Windows® 10 1511
