Edit Sig
view opens.
To view the First Databank default sig, select the
First Databank Default
field.
To select a different First Databank sig, do the following:
Select the
First Databank
field.
Select a sig from the list displaying the results.
A message appears stating that you must confirm to customize the sig.
Select
Yes
or
No
.
Select back to return to the
RxDetails
view.
The selected sig appears in the
Sig
field.

Select a Previously Created Customized Sig
If you have previously created custom sigs, you can select one from the list of available custom sigs. Open NextGen® Mobile. Select a patient, and open the RxDetails view. Select the Sig field.The Edit Sig view opens. View to edit sig Select the Custom field, and select the appropriate custom sig from the list displaying the results. Enter a Free-Form Entered Sig
You can enter a free-form sig, entering any text that you want to appear as the sig. Open NextGen® Mobile. Select a patient, and open the RxDetails view. Select the Sig field.The Edit Sig view opens. Create a Customized Sig
You can create multiple customized sigs. Each customized sig appears on the Custom field list on the Edit Sig view. Open NextGen® Mobile. Select a patient, and open the RxDetails view. Select the Sig field.The Edit Sig view opens. View to edit sig Select Build Sig.The Build Sig view opens. To specify the administration method, select the Admin Method field, and select the desired method from Select Admin Method. To enter the desired quantity, select the Quantity field, and then use the displayed calculator. To specify the unit, select the Units field, and select a unit from Select Unit. To specify the route, select the Route field and select a route from Select Route. Do one of the following: To specify a dose frequency, select Frequency, and enter a dose frequency and the period. For example, 2 per day. In the For field, specify the duration value and unit. For example, 3 weeks. To specify a dose interval, select Interval. In Every, enter a dose interval and the period. If the default sig for a medication is not appropriate for a specific patient, you can modify the sig in the following methods: Select a different First Databank default sig. Create a customized sig.
