Create Encounters

You can create an encounter using the default current date or you can select an earlier date. You cannot create an encounter with a future date. Open NextGen® Mobile. On the menu bar, select Schedule. The Schedules window opens. Select the patient. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Encounter field. The Patient Encounters window opens. To select a different date for the encounter, do the following: Select the Create Encounter field. The date selection view appears. Select the desired date. Select Done. The Patient Encounters window displays the selected date. To create an encounter, select Create Encounter. The Patient Chart window opens with the current date in the Encounter Date field. Generate the Patient Summary from the Patient Chart

Before you begin The clinic administrator must turn on the Patient Summary option for a clinic in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. NextGen® Mobile Pro users can generate a quick summary of a patient's medical information by selecting the predefined prompts in the patient chart. Note: The generated patient summary remains in NextGen® Mobile for 24 hours from the generation time. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view of the patient. Turn on Patient Summary. The details of the Summary tab with the predefined prompts appear. Patient chart displaying pre-defined prompts Note: A message about your patient summary quota limit appears. You can select Contact Me to upgrade the monthly limit. Select a predefined prompt, and then select I Understand in the disclaimer. Before you begin You must have the necessary permissions to view and edit the patient chart and demographic details. Open NextGen® Mobile. On Hub, search for and select a patient from the advanced search. You can also open Patient Chart from the dictation job view, schedule, PAQ, and patient messages. Note: If you do not set your NextGen® Enterprise defaults in NextGen® Mobile, Patient Chart opens in the generic view, where the Charges section does not display any charges, and the Diagnosis module is not available. Patient Chart opens displaying the patient's general information and the NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment status. You can also view the encounter and practice details for NextGen® Enterprise users, and schedule and practice details for non-NextGen® Enterprise users. Patient Document Generation

You can generate patient documents in NextGen® Enterprise EHR on the workstation you are logged on to or offline on a remote workstation. Before generating a particular document, make sure that you have selected a patient. Also you can check that all the relevant data is entered into the patient medical record. You can select options to save or print a patient document or send it to a patient account on NextGen® PxP Portal website when it is generated. You can create documents in two other ways: A template may be configured with a Launch Document trigger that you can execute to generate a document. Use NextGen® Enterprise EHR Quick View feature to generate a document in real time as you work on a patient encounter. You can then save and attach the document to the patient chart. Create Summary of Services

You can create a summary of services for a patient in the Superbill module. Select procedures. Select modifiers. Select an available diagnosis or add a diagnosis. Select a payer. Save the summary of services. After you select a procedure, problem, modifier, and payer, select Save in the Superbill module, or Save in the top toolbar. All of the information is stored in the database. Moreover, NextGen® Enterprise automatically imports the selected data into the NextGen® Enterprise PM or your billing system. To edit data in the Assigned Procedures area, select a field to display a list. If you make changes, select Save in the Superbill module, or Save in the top toolbar again. All of the changes are updated throughout NextGen® Enterprise, carried over into the NextGen® Enterprise PM, and entered in your billing system. Information is automatically sent from Superbill into your billing system. However, Superbill does not import information from your billing system. If you enter information
