Tools Menu

You can access the tools menu from the Template Editor main window. Command Function Template Edit Log Opens the Template Edit Log window where you can refresh and delete the open templates. Template Sets Opens the Template Sets window where you can create, modify, save, and disable a template. Preferences Opens the User Preferences window where you can set preferences. Update Template Links Opens the Update Template Links window where you can update the template links. Attributes Opens the Attributes Setup window where you can add, update, and remove attributes. Codified Fields Opens the Set Codified Field Attribute Utility window where you can change the values for the KBM.CodifyField attribute in the user mode as well. Auto Check Triggers Opens the Auto Check Triggers window where you can check for trigger syntax of one or multiple templates without opening them individually. Insert Radio Button

When you are logged in as KBM admin in Template Editor, you can modify the properties of NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates. You need to set the Universal Preference for Enable Radio Button Clearing to True in System Administrator to enable users to clear a selected radio button. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. In Template Editor, drag Radio Button from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert Radio Button window opens. Using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine

NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine features standard problem, diagnosis, condition, allergy, medication, and symptom lists for all specialties. Specifically designed sets of templates are available for many specialties, including Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedics. To maintain structural integrity and proper navigation, all templates are locked down to prevent user-defined modifications effective with NextGen 5.4.29 or later. You can do the following: Copy a locked-down template. Note: You can copy an Extended Popup template as an Extended Popup View only. You are limited to creating new triggers on fields. You cannot modify existing fields, add new fields, or copy and paste a field to the copied template. Save a locked-down under a different name and update all applicable template links to the new user-defined template. Display the locked-down with a different name at run time.
