Set Up List Attributes

From the Tools menu, select Attributes. The Attribute Setup window opens. In Attribute, enter the name. In Type, select List. The Add field appears. In Description, enter the required description. Enter the value in the field, and then select Add. The values are now added to the Default Values list. To update or delete the values from the Default Values list, do the following as per your requirement: Select the required value, and then select Update. Select the required value, and then select Remove. In the Default Value list, select the required value. In the Attributes section, select Add. The attributes are added in the Attributes section. If you are in the user mode then attribute name starts with USR and if you are in the admin mode, then attribute name starts with KBM. To clear the existing values, select Clear, and then select OK. Set Up Whole Number Attributes

From the Tools menu, select Attributes. The Attribute Setup window opens. In Attribute, enter the name. In Type, select Whole Number. The Min and Max fields appear. In Description, enter the required description. In the Min and Max list, select or enter the values. The whole numbers between min and max values are now added to the Default Values list. In Default Value, select the required value. In the Attributes section, select Add. The attributes are added in the Attributes section. If you are in the user mode then attribute name starts with USR and if you are in the admin mode, then attribute name starts with KBM. Select OK. Parent topic: Attributes

Set Operation Rights for Attributes

Set up Operations Rights in the System Administrator application to control access to the following functionality: Template Editor - Attribute Editing: Allow users to edit and assign field attribute. Access System Administrator. In the left pane, expand the folders for the applicable Enterprise > Practice > User Group. Select the Rights tab. To view the list of subgroups, expand the OPERATIONS group. Expand the Template Editor - Allow Data Change group, and then select Template Editor - Attribute Editing. To enable the right, in the Access Rights section, select Yes, or to disable the right, select No. Note: The default setting is Yes. Select Save. Parent topic: Attributes

Update Attributes

In the Attributes section, select the required attribute. Make the necessary changes in Attribute, Type, Description, and Default Value. Select Update. The attributes are updated and displayed in the Attributes section. Select OK. Parent topic: Attributes

Attributes

Attributes enable you to define any number of attributes for a template field. The Template Editor provides the ability to set the values for each and every attribute for each template field. You can set up the template field attributes from the Tools menu. There are three types of attributes you can set up such as Boolean, List, and Whole Number. The added attribute values are stored in a template fields such as Data Entry, Check Box, and Radio Button. Attribute values set for one field reflects in other fields if it has same name. For example, attribute values set for one radio button field reflects for other radio button fields with the same name. You must set rights permissions under Rights > Operations > Template Editor – Allow Data Change > Template Editor – Attribute Editing in System Administrator. Update Codified Field Attribute

The KBM.CodfiyField attribute supports only the Medical Records, Medical Records Extended Popup, Demographics, and Demographics Extended Popup templates. You can change the values for the KBM.CodifyField attribute even when you are logged in to the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates as a user. Open Template Editor. In the Tools menu, select Codified fields. The Set Codified Field Attribute Utility window opens. In Type, select a template. The associated sub-templates and popup templates are updated in Table. In Table, select a template. If any comments are available, then Field Comment is updated with same values. In Attrib. Value, do one of the following: Select True to change the field values of the template. Select False to not change the field values of the template. Select null to restore the previous selected value. Note: The attribute value is updated in the Field Attributes tab of the respective template fields. Select Apply.
