Tab through Template Fields

You can tab from one template field to another in forward or reverse order. Template Editor defaults tab order to the field creation sequence. You can set up a custom fields tab order in Template Properties. To tab forward to the next template field, select TAB. To tab backward to the previous template field, select SHIFT+TAB. Template Properties

You can set up the following template properties: The Fields Tab Order tab enables you to set up the order for tabbing through template fields. Unless you enter a specific order, Template Editor default tab order to the sequence in which the fields were created. The Font and Color tab enables you to set the Template font, font style, size, default text color for all newly created labels on the template, and template background color. The Background Image tab enables you to display a background image on a template in high resolution (more than 256 colors) or in low resolution (256 colors). The Preferences tab enables you to set up preferences for the Use Alias template, Sidebar template, Popup template toolbars, Template size, and Collapsible panels on your templates. Change Tab Order in the Top Navigation Bar

You can change the order in which the tabs appear in the gray navigation bar. The numbers above the fields below the grid indicate the order, left to right. On the Specialty Nav Config system template, expand the Top Bar Navigation panel. Do one of the following: From the first column of the Visit Type / Workflow grid, select the Visit Type. From the first column of the Single Bar Navigation grid, select the Template Name. Click on the Position fields above the Link fields to change the order numbers. Click Add/Update. Copy a Field without Triggers

You can copy only active text, check box, data entry (edit), or radio button fields. The fields can be native to the template or shared from another template. You can copy existing local fields the same way you do other fields. To create a local field from a copied field, see Copy a Field as a Local Field. Do one of the following: To display copy options, right-click the field, and then select Copy Field. In the template, right-click where you want to place the copied field, and select Paste Field. Select the field, and then select CTRL+C. In the template, select where you want to place the copied field, and select CTRL+V. The window for inserting the selected field type appears. For example, if you select a data entry field, the Insert Data Entry window opens. Note: You cannot change the Table name. If you copy a shared field, the table name for the new field is taken from the native template (the template currently open), not the source template for the shared field. In the Field box
