ROWID Data Sheet Function

Use: Displays the database sequence number (seq_no) for a row selected from a data grid on the template. Note: This function can be used only with the following data sheet types: Data Grid - CM, Data Grid - DM, Data Grid - MR, and Summary Data Grid. The sequence number is returned only if the selected row belongs to the current encounter. Syntax: {ROWID( «datagrid» )} Arguments: «datagrid» Name of the data grid Note: The data grid must be on the same template as the function. Returns: The sequence number (globally unique identifier (GUID)) from the database table that holds the information contained in the row. Example: Data grid allergy_ext_popup with selected row{ROWID( allergy_ext_popup )} Result: The sequence number for the selected row is displayed in the edit field assigned the value. Data Sheet Types

Type Function Table Data Appointments Displays all the appointments for the selected patient. Appointment Table Case Sheet Displays information for a specific case. Allergy, Medication, Billing ICD List, Procedures, Concepts, Templates, Documents, Images, Reports, and Emails tables. All Case Management template tables. Edit Data Grid Trigger

The Edit Data Grid action enables you to add, delete, or open a record or sort the columns displayed in the following types of data grids with Extended Popup templates: Medical Records (MR), Case Management (CM), Demographics (DM), Summary, System, and Practice. You can use this trigger instead of manually selecting options from the data grid right-click menu at run time. Only data tied to the current encounter can be edited; everything else is read only. This action can be triggered from the following field events: button, label, or active image Click, or data sheet/grid Row Selected or Double Click. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Edit Data Grid action. The Edit Data Grid window opens. Select the data grid on which you want to perform the action. From the Action list, select the applicable action: Add. Launches a blank Extended Popup template for entering a new record in the data grid. Delete. Deletes the record in the selected row. Set up Upload Extended Data Trigger

The Upload Extended Data action allows you to insert, update, or delete Extended Popup template data in a row on a data grid/sheet. This trigger can be used for Medical Records (MR), Demographics (DM), Case Management (CM), and Summary data grids and System and Practice data sheets. You can use a row ID (database sequence number) to delete or update row data without having to select a row present on the template. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Upload Extended Data action. The Upload Extended Data window opens. From the Type list, select the data grid/sheet type: Medical Records (default) Case Management Practice Demographics System You can enter the first few letters of the name to quickly find and select it in the list.
