NUMPAD Function

Use: Displays a simple or normal number pad for the user to select a numeric value. The simple number pad contains only the numbers 0-9, plus and minus signs, a decimal point, and a Clear button. The normal number pad contains the same options plus percentages and additional numbers in increments of 5, 10, and 100. Syntax: {NUMPAD( «calling field» , «do listpick» , «default» , «caption» , «simple_or_normal» )} Arguments: «calling field» For a list pick event, the template field that the pick is made from«do listpick» (optional) 1 = true 0 = false«default» (optional) Default value displayed in the number pad when it opens«caption» (optional) Title of the number pad«simple_or_normal» (optional) 1 = simple 0 = normal If no parameters are entered, the function uses the simple number pad. OREQUAL Function

Use: Compares multiple fields or variables to a specified value to determine if any of their values are equal. This function uses OR logic where any value being compared may equal the source value in order to return an equal value for the group. You can compare values with or without regard to case (case sensitive or case insensitive). For example, in a case-insensitive comparison, abc is the same as ABC or aBc. Note: The ORNOTEQUAL function compares multiple fields or variables to a specified field or variable to determine if any are not equal. Syntax: {OREQUAL( «no case» , «compare_to» , «value1» , «value2»,,,, )} Arguments: «no case» 1 = case insensitive 0 = case sensitive«compare_to» Value to compare against other values«value1» Value to be compared You can type "PICK: to display the Picklist window for selecting a picklist to determine if any of its values is equal to the source value. «value2»,,,, (to «valuen») Each additional value to be compared Returns: 1 = Equal 0 = Not equal

ISVALID Function

Use: Checks a diagnosis (ICD) or procedure(CPT4) code for validity. The IFELSE function can be used to display a message to the user. For diagnoses, the ISVALID function can be used to compare ICD-9 code effective and expiration dates to the encounter date. When a diagnosis search is made for an invalid ICD-9 code, the window opens in ICD Legacy Mapping mode, showing the equivalent ICD-10 codes. If an ICD-9 or CPT code has a delete_ind = Y, the function returns an invalid result. CALENDAR Function

Use: Displays a calendar for the user to select a date. Syntax: {CALENDAR( «calling field» , «do listpick» , «default» , «caption» )} Arguments: «calling field» (optional) The name of the field that receives the date value, or for a list pick event, the template field that the pick is made from«do listpick» (optional) 1 = true 0 = false«default» Default value displayed in the calendar when it opens. Insert a Note Field

The note field is saved as a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) file only if the contents of the field have been changed and the Disable Saving Blank Notes Universal Preference is set to True in System Administrator. In a trigger condition or value calculation, to check if a note field is empty, use the ISEMPTY string function. The maximum data size for a template is 7940 characters. The total data size is the sum of the length of all data entry fields. A message box appears when you try to add or modify fields and you have reached the maximum data size. Drag the Note Icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert Note window opens. Note: You may need to enlarge your template to make room for the note field. The Make Public check box appears on this window only when the note field is on a sub template. Define the table.
