ISOPEN Function

Use: Determines if panel is expanded or collapsed. Syntax: {ISOPEN( «panel» )} Arguments: «panel» panel value Returns: 1 = Exapanded 0 = Collapsed Example: {ISOPEN("panel vitals")} Result: If this panel is expanded then it will return 1. Parent topic: Functions

ISLOCKED Function

Use: Checks if an encounter is locked or not. You can pass in an encounter id if the user wants to know if an encounter is locked other than the current encounter. Syntax: {ISLOCKED( <<string>> )} Arguments: <<string>> Encounter ID Returns: 1 = Displays 1 when the encounter is locked 0 = Displays 0 when the encounter is open or unlocked Example: {ISLOCKED( {@EN.ID})} Result: Displays 1 if the encounter is locked else 0. You can find the details about options available in the Panels Control. Button Description Expand All Opens all the panels simultaneously. Collapse All Closes all the panels in the template. Cycle Down Moves the lower panel to the top and expands it while collapsing all other panels. Cycle Up Moves the upper panel to the lower and expands the panel that moved to the top position. ISLOCKED Function

Use: Checks if an encounter is locked or not. You can pass in an encounter id if the user wants to know if an encounter is locked other than the current encounter. ISVALID Function

Use: Checks a diagnosis (ICD) or procedure(CPT4) code for validity. The IFELSE function can be used to display a message to the user. For diagnoses, the ISVALID function can be used to compare ICD-9 code effective and expiration dates to the encounter date. When a diagnosis search is made for an invalid ICD-9 code, the window opens in ICD Legacy Mapping mode, showing the equivalent ICD-10 codes. If an ICD-9 or CPT code has a delete_ind = Y, the function returns an invalid result. ISVALID Function
