PICKARRAY Function

Use: Displays the values of an existing Array variable in a picklist for user selection. Syntax: {PICKARRAY( «array» , «caption», «sorted», «default» )} Arguments: «array» Name of Array variable«caption» Title of the picklist«sorted» 1 = Sorts the picklist values in alphabetical or numerical order 0 = Displays the picklist values as built in the Array variable«default» The default value to be returned if a selection is not made from the picklist. Returns: The value selected from the picklist Example: Field = pickarraytest_fieldArray = @colors{PICKARRAY( @colors , "Colors", 1, "Red" )}Set up an Assign Field Value trigger for the pickarraytest_field using the PICKARRAY function. Result: A picklist displays with values from the @colors array in their original order. The value selected is entered into the pickarraytest_field. INPUTBOX Function

Use: Displays a custom window to gather input from the user. The input box may include a picklist of available options. Syntax: {INPUTBOX( «string» , «caption» , «default» , «picklist» )} Arguments: «string» Message or instruction to display in the input box«caption» Title of the input box«default» Default value for the input field«picklist» (optional) Existing picklist name or array variable as an alternate. If a picklist name is supplied, it displays a text box for users to type or select a value from the list displayed. You can type "PICK: to display the Picklist window for selecting a picklist. Returns: A string value from the input box Example 1: Field = txt_field{INPUTBOX( "Please type in a color" , "Color" , "" )} Result: An input box opens. The value entered is entered into the txt_field. Text input is limited to 100 characters. OREQUAL Function

Use: Compares multiple fields or variables to a specified value to determine if any of their values are equal. This function uses OR logic where any value being compared may equal the source value in order to return an equal value for the group. You can compare values with or without regard to case (case sensitive or case insensitive). For example, in a case-insensitive comparison, abc is the same as ABC or aBc. Note: The ORNOTEQUAL function compares multiple fields or variables to a specified field or variable to determine if any are not equal. Syntax: {OREQUAL( «no case» , «compare_to» , «value1» , «value2»,,,, )} Arguments: «no case» 1 = case insensitive 0 = case sensitive«compare_to» Value to compare against other values«value1» Value to be compared You can type "PICK: to display the Picklist window for selecting a picklist to determine if any of its values is equal to the source value. «value2»,,,, (to «valuen») Each additional value to be compared Returns: 1 = Equal 0 = Not equal

CONCAT Function

Use: Determines the concatenated value. Syntax: {CONCAT( «delimiter» , «grammer», «use caption» , «list» )} Arguments: «delimiter» Determines the character to separate items when concatenating. To use a comma (,) as a Delimiter and spelled out as the word "Comma".«grammar» Value to separate the last item in the concatenated list.«use caption» If a radio button or check box is used in the list it returns the caption instead of the value of the radio button or check box.«list» List of fields and or variables to concatenate together. Returns: Return the value. SUBF$ Function

Use: Required when ASSIGN, CONFIRM, INPUTBOX, or PICKARRAY function parameters are used for the true/false values in the IFELSE Function. The addition of this subfunction ensures that the IFELSE function is evaluated correctly and returns the valid true or false value.
