Imaging Components
Imaging components are medical images that can be imported from a specific file stored on your workstation or network and saved within the NextGen® Enterprise EHR system. Once a medical image is imported and saved as an imaging component, you can place it on an Imaging Component toolbar and use it to annotate a patient’s image. You must have user rights and permissions to import or edit imagining components, as well as to create and edit imaging component sets and toolbars. Contact your system administrator about your user rights and permissions. All imported images are stored as imaging components in the Imaging Component Gallery. You can store imaging components separately, or as part of a user-defined Imaging Component Set. Any imaging components stored in the gallery can be added to an Imaging Component toolbar. Note: After you import an image and store it as an imaging component, you can no longer delete it from the gallery. You hide a specific imaging component to prevent it bein

Insert Text
You can enter text with the preferred font and style on the image to label or for any other purpose. Text added to an annotation stays together when you select either the image or the text and perform a copy and paste. To select text and images individually, select Ctrl and then select the text or annotation. Select an image. Select the Text button. Select and drag to draw a text box on the image. To change the font before you enter text, select the Font button. The Font window opens. Select a Font, Font style, and Size and select OK. Font Enter text in the text field. To enter modifications or to move the text to a different location on the image, select the Select button and select the text. You can move the text box to the different location on the image. Using Transparency on Annotations
You can set an annotation to be transparent. Set an annotation as transparent to display the details of the image behind the annotation. Adding Annotations to an Image
Use annotations to provide additional detail about an image. You can choose from a variety of annotations to suit your needs. Work with Tasks Associated with an Image
You can create a task and attach an image to it. You can also modify or delete a task. Open an image, and then do one of the following: Select the Tasks button. On the main menu, select Imaging > Single Chart View. The Tasks window opens. Tasks To add a task, select the New Task button, and then enter the task details, including Due Date, Subject, and Description. In the Attachment field, EHR Image is pre-selected and the image name appears next to it. New EHR Task To remove a task, select a task in the Tasks window, and then select the Delete button.
