Update a Future Order Schedule
You can update a schedule for a future order.
Note:
Schedules for recurring orders cannot be updated.
On the
Orders Summary
tab, select the future order.
On the
Orders Summary
toolbar, select the
Scheduled
filter.
From the
Scheduled
filter toolbar, select
Reschedule
; or right-click the future order and select
Reschedule
from the list.
The
Change Order Due Date
window opens.
Enter the new scheduled date, or select a new date from the calendar.

View Future and Recurring Order Schedules
After setting the schedule for future or recurring orders, you can view the schedule from the Orders Summary tab. Note: The Start Date indicates when the schedule becomes active. To view the schedule for a future order, select the order in the Orders Summary grid, and select the Future Order icon. The View Order Schedule window opens. Select OK. To view the schedule for a recurring order, select the order in the Orders Summary grid, and select the Recurring Order icon. The View Order Schedule window opens. Select Close. Note: You can also view the future or recurring schedule by double-clicking an order in the Orders Summary grid, and selecting the View Schedule button on the Update Lab/Radiology Order window. Set up a Schedule for a Recurring Order
When you create a new lab or radiology order, you can set up recurring order schedules on the Set Order Schedule window. You can set up one schedule or multiple schedules for the tests you select. You can also set up recurring orders in the same session on the Set Order Schedule window after creating your future order schedules. Create a Lab or Radiology order. Select order criteria (that is, diagnosis, favorites, if appropriate). To schedule a recurring order, select Set Schedule in the Assign Diagnosis to Selected Tests panel. The Set Order Schedule window opens. Select the Recurring Order option. Select the order to schedule. Select the dates when the orders should occur. For example, your patient needs to have a test on a monthly basis for the next year. Note: You can update the expiration date timeframe. However, you cannot exceed the number of months your practice has set up in File Maintenance > EHR > Practices > Practice Preferences > Orders Module > FutureRecurring Orders Expi
