Remove Custom SIG

You can remove custom SIG codes associated to the currently selected provider. You cannot delete First Databank SIG from the list. Open the SIG builder. Build Custom SIG

You can manually build an SIG for a medication. From the Medication module, open SIG Builder. Sig Builder In Admin, select a method of administration from the list. In Quantity, select the number of units from the list or enter a number. To select a quantity range, do the following. Select the Quantity as Range check box. The new list appears besides Quantity. In the list, select or enter the upper or lower range of the required quantity. In Unit of Measure, select a unit of measure from the list. In Route, select the preferred route from the list. Note: By default, the Show Route check box is selected. To hide Route, clear the Show Route check box. In Interval, enter or select the time interval between medication doses from the list. To select an interval range, do the following. Select the Interval as Range check box. The new list appears besides Interval. In the list, select or enter the upper range of the required interval. Create Free-Text SIG

You can create a free-text custom SIG with a limit of 512 characters. To eRx a prescription, the free-text SIG is limited to 140 characters. Open the SIG Builder. In the Sig field, enter or copy and paste the SIG details. Sig Builder When you enter a free-text SIG, all other options are unavailable. Sig Builder Select Done. Enter all required medication information. Perform any one of the following: Hover over or select the Add Sig link. Select the automatically populated SIG to change it. Hover over or select the Edit Sig link. The availability of an automatically populated SIG in the advanced SIG builder depends on the information provided by the third party, First Databank. The Sig Builder window opens. Sig Builder window Note: For a pediatric patient, the list is filtered by pediatric SIGs. To clear the existing SIG, select Clear Sig.
