Select Order Items from the Immunizations Recommendations List
Before you begin
Ensure that you have configured the vaccine relationships and schedules in File Maintenance. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest File Maintenance Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise.
Ensure that you have configured allergy check for immunization orders.
Ensure that you have configured drug interactions checks. For more information on the medication interactions setup, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Drug Interaction and Medication Update Utility User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR and Medications and Medication Allergies Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
You can select immunization order items from the IMMUNIZATIONS recommendations list for the patient.
Note: For more information on immunizations, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Immunizations Module User Guide for NextGen Enterprise.
Open CPOE.
Select Immunizations.
Note: The notification indicates that the patient has due or past-due immunizations.
The IMMUNIZATIONS recommendations list appears.
To expand all the vaccine groups simultaneously, select the expand icon on the immunizations recommendations header.
Note: To expand a single vaccine group, you can select the vaccine group's row. For information on filtering and sorting the IMMUNIZATIONS recommendations list and viewing the administration history of vaccine groups, see Filter the Immunizations Recommendations List .
Select an immunization order item.
Note: For an immunization order item, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) automatically adds the default ICD-10-CM Z23 diagnosis code.
The Review Allergies window opens. For more information on reviewing allergies, see Perform Allergy Check.
