Before you begin
Ensure that you have access to a scanner and have scanning software on the workstation.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient.
- Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter.
- To open the Images module, do one of the following:
- On the Top Toolbar, select the Images icon.
- On the main menu, select .
The Open Image File window opens.
- Select either the Scan One or Scan All button.
The
Select Source window opens.
- Select the scanner name, and select Select.
The Imaging module and your scanner's software window opens.
- To scan the image, follow the on-screen instructions on scanner window.
After completion of scanning , the image appears in the Imaging module.
- Select Save.
The scanned image added to the patient's chart.
