Enable Patient Savings Programs at the Practice Level

Open File Maintenance. From the Master Files menu, select System > Practices.The Practices List window opens. From the Practices list, double-click a practice.The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences.The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List on the left pane, select Medication. Ensure that Enable Patient Savings Program checkbox is selected. In Patient Savings Printer, select a default printer to use with the Patient Savings Programs materials.The selected printer becomes the default Patient Savings printer for the entire practice for patient offers and education documents. Note: If you do not have access to the default Patient Savings printer, select a printer in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR User Preferences, or select one when attempting to print patient offers and education documents. Enabling the Patient Savings Programs

By default, the Patient Savings Programs are enabled at both the Practice Preferences and User Preferences levels. You can select Patient Savings Programs available for providers to offer to the eligible patients. You are allowed to offer the programs to eligible patients at both of these levels on enabling the settings. You can select your preferred printer or practice's default printer to print the Patient Savings Program's related material. You can enable the Patient Savings Programs at the user level. You can also specify a preferred printer. These settings override the Practice Preference settings. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Tools > Preferences > Medications tab. Enable Patient Savings Programs checkbox in Preferences In the Printing and Faxing section, select a Printer to use with the Patient Savings Programs materials. By default, the printer selected in File Maintenance > Medication Practice Preference is used. In the Patient Education and Savings Programs section, ensure that Enable Patient Savings Programs check box is selected. Print Patient Savings and Education Documents

NextGen Healthcare recommends that the patient receives a printed copy of the patient savings and education documents to ensure medication adherence. When ePrescribing, faxing, or printing a medication that has a savings or education program, you are prompted to print all patient savings and education documents. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Medication module, after accepting a medication with an available program, select Send or Print. The Patient Savings and Education Documents window opens. Patient Savings and Education Documents Note: CureAll is a fictitious medication used for demonstration purposes only. To print the documents, select Print All. The documents print to the printer defined in Tools > Preferences > Medications > Patient Education and Saving Programs. If a printer has not been defined, a window displays the Microsoft® Windows 8 default printer and routes. Note: If you select Close, a message notifies you that patient savings materials will not be printed if yo
