Enabling the Patient Savings Programs

By default, the Patient Savings Programs are enabled at both the Practice Preferences and User Preferences levels. You can select Patient Savings Programs available for providers to offer to the eligible patients. You are allowed to offer the programs to eligible patients at both of these levels on enabling the settings. You can select your preferred printer or practice's default printer to print the Patient Savings Program's related material. Print Patient Savings and Education Documents

NextGen Healthcare recommends that the patient receives a printed copy of the patient savings and education documents to ensure medication adherence. When ePrescribing, faxing, or printing a medication that has a savings or education program, you are prompted to print all patient savings and education documents. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Medication module, after accepting a medication with an available program, select Send or Print. The Patient Savings and Education Documents window opens. Patient Savings and Education Documents Note: CureAll is a fictitious medication used for demonstration purposes only. To print the documents, select Print All. The documents print to the printer defined in Tools > Preferences > Medications > Patient Education and Saving Programs. If a printer has not been defined, a window displays the Microsoft® Windows 8 default printer and routes. Set Up Default General Preferences - Printing Tab

The Printing user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on the various types of documents that can be printed in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: Settings made in Practice Preferences > Printing apply to all users in the practice. Settings made in your General User Preferences > Printing override the practice-level settings. Programs Practice Preferences

The Programs practice preference allows you to enable or disable program-related functionality for the practice. When you select the Enable Programs check box, you can enable Programs in NextGen® Enterprise PM, and the following functionalities are available: On the Patient Information tab in Patient Chart, the Programs sub-tab appears. The sub-tab is used to enroll patients in one or more programs. On the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window, the Program field appears. The field is used to link encounters to a program. On the General sub-tab of the Encounters tab in Patient Chart, the Program name is displayed for encounters linked to a program. You must select the Required Encounter Level Programs check box to make the program mandatory for the encounter for specific locations in encounter maintenance. Enable the PDR BRIEF at User Level

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, from the Tools menu, select Preferences. From the Preferences window, select the Medications tab. NextGen® Enterprise EHR Practice Preferences Options

The EHR tab in Practice Preferences window enables you to select the items that appear in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The following table describes the options for NextGen® Enterprise EHR Practices Preferences. Options Description Use PM as EHR's scheduling source If you have a license for NextGen® Enterprise PM, then the Workflow module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR uses NextGen® Enterprise PM as the default scheduling source and you cannot create appointments or modify appointment information (except room and status) in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Appointments section of the Workflow module, all NextGen® Enterprise PM resources are available, and you can view all the NextGen® Enterprise PM appointments.
