Open the Person Information or Patient Information window for the desired person or patient.
Select the Relations/Role tab.
In Guarantor, select the open menu icon, and then select either Person as Guarantor or Employer as Guarantor.
If the patient is the guarantor, from the Guarantor Lookup window, select Self.
If the guarantor is a person other than the patient, from the Guarantor Lookup window, do the following:
Enter search criteria, and then select Find.
In Matching Records, double-click an existing guarantor, or select New to add a record for the guarantor.
In the Modify Guarantor Information window, update the information.
In Relationship, select the guarantor's relationship to the patient, and then select OK.
If the employer is the guarantor for employer-sponsored accounts, from the Employer Lookup window, do the following:
Enter the employer's name, and then select Find.
In Matching Records, double-click to select the employer.
The Employer Maintenance window opens.
CAUTION:
You should avoid modifying the Demographics section, as changes here result in updates to the Employers master file and affect all linked employer records.
