Custom Reports

Report Filter allows you to generate, view and print custom created reports. Reports could be built for either a specific practice (that you used to logon to the application) or a specific enterprise (that you used to logon to the application). Note: To create and generate NextGen® Enterprise EHR reports, there must be report types set up in File Maintenance. For the availability of report types, refer to your practice's System Administrator. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Custom Reports use patient demographic information (such as First Name, Last Name, Gender, Address, Date of Birth, and so on) for filtering and pulling specific data from a patient's chart based on custom-build criteria, such as: Template data Diagnosis data Procedure data Allergy data Medication data Laboratory data Parent topic: Create and Use Custom Reports

Report Filter Examples

The Report Filter enables you to create simple or complex reports. From the Report Filter, you can: Select a module or option from the Settings List to filter module and patient data. Select a combination of modules or options from the Report Filter Settings List to filter module and patient data. Select additional informational and display options, including sorting, columns, and customizing the header or footer, prior to saving and/or generating a report. Open the Report Filter

To open the Report Filter, do one of the following: To create reports for the Practice that you are currently logged on to, select File > Reports > Generate Report > Practice. To create reports for the Enterprise that you are currently logged on to, including any Practices in the Enterprise, select File > Reports > Generate Report > Enterprise. Creating and Using Summary Reports

The Summary Reports enables you to compare specifically filtered data. A Summary Report consists of the following separate reports: Report Type Description Denominator Report Filters a specific set of data that could be compared to a Numerator Report Sub-report Filters a specific set of data from the Denominator Report For example, you could create a Denominator Report for the number of female patients in your practice and compare the results to a Numerator Report, which filters out the number of female patients who are older than 40 years of age. Either a Denominator or Numerator Report could be generated as a full-report with the entire set of data displayed. Selecting and Sorting Report Columns

When you open the Report Filter, the patient demographic columns display in the right pane. These are the default columns that you can select or clear prior to generating a report. You can further filter the patient demographic data by selecting specific parameters. Report Filter helps you to create the reports that best suit your needs. The Report Filter allows you set up the specific criteria used to pull data from a patient's chart and to create the specific filters to be used for your custom reports.
