Assign NextGen® Enterprise EHR Alerts for Individual Patients
For each alert type, you can select an existing alert message or create a new one. You can select options to display an alert in bold red type and show the alert in the Patient Alerts window when you open the patient's chart. You cannot select a Patient has expired alert on the Add/Edits Alerts window. You can only add this alert from the Modify Patient Information window. You must start documentation from an NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine template for some alerts. Open the patient's chart. Do one of the following: If no current alerts exist, select the gray Alerts button on the Patient Information Card. Note: This function is enabled only for NextGen® Enterprise EHR alerts. If current alerts exist, select the red Alerts button to display the Patient Alerts window. On the EHR tab, select Add/Edit. The Add/Edit Alerts window opens, with a separate section for each alert type and its options. Use the horizontal and vertical scroll bars to view all alert types and options. To assign an

Add an Alert
You can add one or more alerts to a patient in NextGen® Enterprise. You can identify high risk patients and send an alert without having to open the individual charts. In NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, do one of the following: From the Cohorts tab, run a report. From the My Lists tab, run a list. From the Appointment Book tab, filter the patients. The patient list appears in the patient grid. In the patient grid, select the check box next to the patient's name. Select Alert. The Add/Edit Alerts window opens. Note: If multiple patients are selected from the patient grid, then the Pregnancy alert is not available on the Add/Edit Alerts window. The Pregnant check box is available in the Add/Edit Alerts window only if the selected patient is a female. Select the check box available next to the alert you want to send.
