Sort Alerts

Filter NextGen® Enterprise EHR Alerts by Type
The EHR tab lists all alert types on the Patient Alerts window by default. To display only a certain alert type, select it from the Filter list. For example, to display only Chart alerts, select Chart from the Filter list. Parent topic: EHR Alerts Tab

Acknowledge NextGen® Enterprise EHR Alerts
When you open a patient's chart, any alert marked for acknowledgement appears for you to read and acknowledge, even if another user has already acknowledged it. You can acknowledge the alert immediately or at a later time. You can acknowledge multiple alerts at a time. On the Patient Alerts window, select Add/Edit. The Add/Edit Alerts window opens. Select the alert row(s), and then select Acknowledge. The Patient Alerts window closes. If you open the Patient Alerts window again, a green check mark appears next to the alert type. Note: After you acknowledge an alert, the alert does not display for your acknowledgment again during the same logon session. However, the alert appears for acknowledgment by other users who access this patient chart. EHR Alerts Tab
The EHR tab displays the total number of NextGen® Enterprise EHR alerts and lists each alert type and message in a table. Certain alerts may be set to display in bold red type with a flag symbol to make them stand out in the list. The alerts that require acknowledgement are placed at the top of the chart and are selected by default when you open the Patient Alerts window. You can filter NextGen® Enterprise EHR alerts by type and change the sort order. You can also remove alerts if they are not needed. To perform alert actions, you can select buttons at the bottom of the window or select actions from a right-click menu. Clear Assigned Alerts
On the Add/Edit Alerts window, clear the check box for the assigned alert message under the applicable alert type. If you added any comments or selected the associated Show in Red & Bold check box or Pop-up for Acknowledgement check box, they are also cleared. Select Save & Close. View Patient Alerts
You can view a quick list of all available NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts for the patient on the Patient Information Card (PIC). You can also open the Patient Alerts window to view, acknowledge, add, edit, snooze, and remove the patient's NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts. Note: The Alerts button in red color with a numeric count; indicates that there are patient alerts available. For example, . When there are no alerts, the button appears as .
