Select an Orders Summary Grid Filter

Select the name of the filter on the Filters bar on the Orders panel. The Orders Summary grid displays the order types and columns specified in that filter. For example, if you select Radiology, only radiology orders appear in the Orders Summary grid. Parent topic: Using the Orders Summary Tab

Pre-defined Orders Summary Filters

You can select orders to view the order type on the Orders Summary grid using the following pre-defined filters: Field Description All (Default) Opens orders of all order types. Labs Opens only the lab order tests. Radiology Opens only the radiology order tests. Imm. (Immunization) Opens only the immunization orders. Scheduled Opens only the future and recurring orders. Orders Summary Panel Components

The Orders Summary panel contains the following components: Filters bar. Displays pre-defined and user-defined filters and the Manage Filters function. Top toolbar. Displays order actions available for the selected filter. Orders Summary grid. Lists all tests that have been ordered for the current patient based on the specified filter. Defining Private and Practice Orders Filters Defining Private and Practice Orders Filters You can create private or practice filters to select the type of order information to display for an individual patient on the Orders Summary grid or for multiple patients on a custom Practice template created with the Orders Management order control. When you create a practice filter, it is available to all users in your practice. To create a practice filter, you must have permission for Allow Updating Practice Filters set in System Administrator > Enterprise Practice > Enterprise Practice > Security Group > Rights > Operations > Orders. To create a private filter, the Allow Providers to Maintain Favorites practice preference must be selected in File Maintenance > Practices Preferences > Orders Module > Lab/Rad. Update a Private or Practice Orders Filter

You can change the display information or data for a private or practice filter. You cannot change a pre-defined filter. Do one of the following: On the Filters bar in the Orders panel of the Orders Summary tab, select Manage Filters. On the Filters bar in your custom Practice template with an Orders Management order control, select Manage Filters. The Set Orders Summary Filters window opens, with the Display tab for the All filter in view. Select the filter to update from the list in the left section of the window. Update the filter information on the Display or Data tabs following the instructions in Set up a Private or Practice Orders Filter. To save your changes, select Save All & Apply.
