New Results Entry Tab

The New Results Entry tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description New Result When selected, creates a new result to associate with the selected order. Refresh Refreshes the results list. Clear Clears the results list. Delete Deletes a selected result. Save Saves the new result created here. Result Status Lists status options for selection: Corrected, Error No Order, Final, Incomplete No Specimen, In Process Unspecified, In Process Scheduled, Lab Canceled, Order Canceled, Order Completed, Order Discontinued, Order Hold, Order Replaced, Partial, Pending, Pending Incomplete, Practice Canceled, Preliminary, Unknown Display New Results Entries in the Results Panel Parent topic: Using the Results Panel

Open the Results Panel

The Results panel is collapsed when you open the Orders Summary tab. To expand the Results panel, select the down arrow. The panel opens to the test currentlyselected in the Orders Summary tab. To collapse the Results panel, select the Results up arrow. Parent topic: Using the Results Panel

Grid Results Tab

The Grid Results tab has two sections: Reported panels and Reported results. The following toolbar selections are available. Option Description Reported panels: includes the status, collection date and any related comments. Refresh Refreshes the display of test results. Delete Panel Deletes the selected results panel. Reported results for: includes the result, unit, any flags, range, observation date and any related comments. Delete Result Deletes the result for a selected test. Viewing New Order Tests Results in the Workflow Module

If you select a test order in the Orders module and add result information to it when you save the order, the system displays the test order in the Workflow module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR as a high-priority (!) clinical task. Users can select these tasks to notify the provider (or other appropriate clinical staff) that the results for the test have been received. Formatted Results Tab

The Formatted Results tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description Show Normal (N) Results Flag When selected, normal results are marked with a flag. Show compressed results When selected, additional information appears such as LOINC code, performing entity, medical director or specimen. MU Compatible Make the format of the results Meaningful Use (MU) compatible. Refresh Refresh the results display. Print Print the order results. A print preview is available. Fax Fax results to the selected phone number. Full Screen Toggles full screen mode on and off. Copy Copies selected text. Select All Selects all text shown in the results. Setup Sets up critical range results. Patient Portal Sends lab results to NextGen Enterprise Patient Portal. Note: This button only appears if your practice has enabled the NextGen Patient Portal function. Using the Results Panel

You can perform the following actions in the Results panel on the Orders Summary tab: Enter test results coming in with an interface using the Formatted Results, Grid Results, or Documents, Images, and URLs tabs. Manually enter results using the New Results Entry tab. Manually enter related documents using the New Document and Images Entry tab. View and add tracking comments. Send lab results to NextGen® PxP Portal. The actions available on the Results panel toolbar change depending on which type of results are being viewed or created.
