Open the Medication Search window.

View
menu, select
Display Options
.
The
Medication Search - Display Options
window opens.
Specify the display options for medication search as applicable.

Set Up Medication Search Default Filter Options
Open the Medication Search window. From the View menu, select Default Filter Options. The Medication Search - Default Filter Options window opens. Medication Search - Default Filter Options window Do the following as applicable: To view the brand name of the medications, select Brand. To view the generic name of the medications, select Generic. To view a list of medications appropriate to a particular diagnosis, select Patient Problems. To view the selected health plan of the patient, select Payer. To view all medications available in the database, select All Medications. To view your favorite medications, select Favorite Medications and then select your favorite from the list. Select Apply. Open the Medication Search window. From the View menu, select Favorites Options. The Medication Search - Favorites Options window opens. Medication Search - Favorites Options window Select the applicable options. Note: The Hide Pediatric Sig Favorites on Adult Patients check box is selected by default at upgrade or install. Available Medication Search Display Options
The display options in the following table are available for medication search: Display Option Description Display Generic Name Opens the generic name for each listed medication. Display Strengths Opens the strength of each listed medication. Display Brand for Generic Medications Opens the brand name during generic name search. Display Generic for Brand Medications Opens the generic name during brand name search. Medication Name Bold Opens all medication names in bold. Font Size Opens small, medium, or large font size for each listed medication. Highlight Controlled Substances Opens all DEA controlled substances in red color. Display of Drug Name at Child Node Opens the medication name for each listed medication. Auto Search Enables the application to perform the search as you type. The application is set up to give you 800 milliseconds to enter the medication name before the application starts the automatic search. One second is 1000 milliseconds. Set Up Default Medication Search Favorites List from Default Filter Options
Open the Medication Search window . From the View menu, select Default Filter Options. The Medication Search - Default Filter Options window opens. Select Favorite Medications.
