Set up Access Rights for APSO View Settings

In System Administrator, you can provide or deny permissions to user groups to access APSO View Settings in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open System Administrator. Select a user group to provide APSO View permissions. For more information on user groups, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Select the Rights tab. Open the Operations list and move down and select APSO View Settings - Restrict Access. In the Access Rights section, select No and select Save. The users in the selected group can access APSO View Settings. Note: Users belonging to more than one group must have the permission set up for every group they are part of. If you have appropriate security rights to access the APSO View Settings (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective), you can modify the settings for the Current APSO tab. You can also set the stored procedure and style sheet for a specialty for the Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs from the APSO View Settings. Open APSO View

Before you begin You must have a patient chart open to use APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the window. To display the contents of the tabs, point to the tabs. Select the pushpin icon at the top of the tab. The tab remains expanded and shares the window with the current template or module. To collapse the tab, you can select the pushpin icon again. Viewing Patient Information and Generating Charts

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can search a patient, add or modify patient information, review patient's existing clinical data, and generate age-based growth charts. If your enterprise is enrolled in Population Health Sync, you can access data from it directly within NextGen® Enterprise EHR as well as from NextGen Population Health Analytics Solutions website. You can view available gaps-in-care and risk score data for a selected patient from the Patient Information bar. APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View is a side panel that slides in and out and enables you to see current and previous information of patients. This side panel generates a document in real time. You can also generate pediatric growth charts, growth charts from NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, and growth charts from the NextGen® Enterprise EHR File menu. Assign APSO View Trigger

You can assign the APSO View trigger in a template of Template Editor. The APSO View trigger refreshes or saves the APSO document to the current encounter of the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Template Editor. Select New from the File menu, and then select any template from the list of templates that appear. The template opens. Drag a field from the field toolbar to the template design area. The field properties appear on the right side of the template design area and displays Name and Type of the field. Right-click the field and select Trigger. The Triggers window opens. Select Add New. The Trigger Info window opens. From the Action list, select APSO View. The APSO View window opens. Select one of the following and select OK: Refresh Refreshes the APSO document. Save (refreshes before save) Saves the APSO document to the current encounter. In the Trigger Info window, select OK to save the changes. In the Triggers window, select OK and save the template. Parent topic: Setting
