Set Up Stored Procedure and Style Sheet for a Specialty

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Select Admin > APSO View Settings. The APSO View Settings window opens. From the Specialty list, select a specialty. From the APSO View list, select a stored procedure. Note: Any custom stored procedure must have a custom.xsl file that corresponds to the custom stored procedure. The default style sheet (.xsl file) is used when a style sheet (.xsl file) is not defined and associated with the stored procedure and specialty in the settings. The stored procedure must include the following parameters for APSO View: enterprise_id practice_id person_id Enc_id EnterpriseChart Select the ellipses button next to the blank field. The Open File window opens, displaying all .xsl style sheets present in the user-defined folder for APSO View style sheets. If you have appropriate security rights to access the APSO View Settings (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective), you can modify the settings for the Current APSO tab. You can also set the stored procedure and style sheet for a specialty for the Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs from the APSO View Settings. Open APSO View

Before you begin You must have a patient chart open to use APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the window. To display the contents of the tabs, point to the tabs. Select the pushpin icon at the top of the tab. The tab remains expanded and shares the window with the current template or module. To collapse the tab, you can select the pushpin icon again. Viewing Patient Information and Generating Charts

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can search a patient, add or modify patient information, review patient's existing clinical data, and generate age-based growth charts. If your enterprise is enrolled in Population Health Sync, you can access data from it directly within NextGen® Enterprise EHR as well as from NextGen Population Health Analytics Solutions website. You can view available gaps-in-care and risk score data for a selected patient from the Patient Information bar. APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) View is a side panel that slides in and out and enables you to see current and previous information of patients. This side panel generates a document in real time. You can also generate pediatric growth charts, growth charts from NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, and growth charts from the NextGen® Enterprise EHR File menu. Assign APSO View Trigger

You can assign the APSO View trigger in a template of Template Editor. The APSO View trigger refreshes or saves the APSO document to the current encounter of the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Template Editor. Select New from the File menu, and then select any template from the list of templates that appear. The template opens. Drag a field from the field toolbar to the template design area. The field properties appear on the right side of the template design area and displays Name and Type of the field. Right-click the field and select Trigger. The Triggers window opens. Select Add New. The Trigger Info window opens. From the Action list, select APSO View. The APSO View window opens. Select one of the following and select OK: Refresh Refreshes the APSO document. Save (refreshes before save) Saves the APSO document to the current encounter. Generate APSO View Document

You can generate an APSO (Assessment Plan Subjective and Objective) document based on the APSO View summary of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart. Do one of the following: Create a new encounter. Note: For more information on creating a new encounter, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an existing encounter. Select View > APSO View Bar. The Current APSO and Previous APSO tabs appear on the right side of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR window. Hover over and pin the Current APSO tab. Select Save. A document containing the contents of the Current APSO tab is saved with the name APSO Summary to the selected encounter. You can send the document to NextGen® PxP Portal for Provider Approval, and all other options available to the document items. Important: After you have saved the APSO View summary to the encounter, the document displays data to the point when it is generat
