Option	Description
Show Favorites	Displays the practice or provider test favorites list available for this practice or provider.
By Category	Displays any test favorites lists available for a speciality.
This Order	Displays the tests selected for this order.
Search All	Displays the Search Tests window. After you find and select tests, you can add selected tests to the provider's favorites by selecting the Add selected tests to provider favorites check box.
Check All	Selects all tests available in the test orders list.
Uncheck All	Clears all currently selected orders in the list.
Add to Favorites	Adds selected tests to your provider's favorites. The Add to Favorites option is enabled by the Allow provider to maintain test favorites practice preference in File Maintenance.
Delete from Favorites	Deletes tests that are currently in your provider’s favorite lists (that were previously selected by the provider). The Delete from Favorites option is enabled by the Allow provider to maintain test favorites practice preference in File Maintenance.

Assign a Test Favorites Group to a Provider Assign a Test Favorites Group to a Provider A provider can select, modify and use a list of test favorites that they prefer. They do not subscribe to a favorites list like the practices do, rather, they select a test favorites group to use as a start, and then customize it for themselves. Create the favorites group in File Maintenance. Select File Maintenance > System > Providers. Double-click the desired provider in the list. Select the Orders module tab or enter [ALT]-[M] on the Modify Provider Information window to open the Orders module tab. Select . The Map Favorite Tests to Provider window opens. Select to select a Test Favorites group from the list available to assign this favorites group to this provider. Select the right-arrow to move the favorites group to the Included pane. Select OK. You can select tests using the NextGen compendium an entity-specific list of tests, or a practice- or provider-defined list of favorite tests. You cannot combine your selections from different lists (such as one from the Labcorp list and one from the NextGen compendium list). If you try to mix more than one compendium, a message appears, stating that you cannot switch to another compendium unless you delete all tests from the current compendium You can perform the following actions from the Select Tests panel of the Select Tests tab. Select several tests at the same time. Select a Diagnosis in the top section. Select the check box for each desired test. Select one of the Save options to complete the order. You can view or select the Performing Entity on the top menu bar. If your practice preferences or insurance carve-outs are set up, the performing entity can be selected automatically. Create the group in File Maintenance. Select System > Specialties. Double-click the desired specialty in the list. The Specialty Information window opens. Select the folder in the Test Favorites pane. The list of available test favorites displays. Select to highlight one of the favorites groups and select the right-arrow to move the selected group to the Included pane. Select OK to save the selection as the favorites group for this specialty. Create the group in File Maintenance. Select File Maintenance > File Maintenance > System > Practices. Double-click the desired practice in the list. Select Preferences at the bottom of the Modify Practice Information window. In the Preferences list in the left pane, select Order module > Lab/Rad tab. Select the folder to open the Test Favorites window. Select in the list to select the favorite to add and select the right-arrow to add it to the favorites. Select OK. The test favorites list is now defined as the preference for your practice. Select OK to finish the practice update. Select File Maintenance > System > Practices. Select a practice. Select Preferences. In the Preference List, select Orders Module. Select Order Module > Lab/Rad tab. Select the folder to select one or more of the Order Test Favorites lists that have been created for your database. These tests must have already been created in File Maintenance. Practice Test Favorites

Practices can select a predefined Test Favorites group to use for their location. When they select one, they "subscribe" to this favorites group. If changes are made to the original Test Favorites group they have chosen, they automatically get any updates made to it. Test favorites can be created by assigning a favorites list to a practice using File Maintenance. When importing the default test favorites the favorites are created in the lab favorites table. Test favorites can also be assigned by the Orders Management Console to a practice to be used as the default test favorites. When importing a favorites list, if a specific practice already has a practice favorite set up for that particular lab or radiology system to which the favorites are being imported (NextGen, Labcorp, etc.) the new favorite being imported is not added to that practice's available list. If that practice does not have a favorites list assigned for that lab or radiology system, the default system being imported is
