Recategorize the Category Items

On the Categories tab, you can recategorize the documents, images, and files.

You can add a selected document, image, or file to one or multiple categories, or you can remove it from the category.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
  2. Select the Categories tab.
  3. To view a document, image, or file, do one of the following:
    • Select List View from the list.
    • Select Tree View from the list.
      • To expand all categories; select a category, select Category Options , and select Expand All Categories.
      • To expand the selected category, select .
  4. Select a document, image, or file to recategorize, and select document options .
    The document options appear.

  5. Select Recategorize.
    The Recategorize this item window opens displaying the list of available categories.

  6. On the Recategorize this item window, do one of the following:
    • To add the selected document, image, or file to a new category, select the corresponding category check box.
    • To remove the selected document, image, or file from a category, clear the corresponding category check box.
  7. Select OK.
    A message appears confirming the action.
  8. Select Yes.
    The selected document, image, or file is added or removed from the categories.
